Mr. Melo

Mr. Melo has a lighter touch. In Williamsburg, it brings together a vinyl listening bar, new Greek dishes, and cocktails in a way that feels social from the start, not studious. The point is not to create a precious audiophile room, but somewhere people actually want to spend time, with good sound, a long marble bar, and enough energy to keep the night moving.

There is also a welcome lack of stiffness in the way it handles drinks. Alongside the stronger house cocktails, the bar has leaned into a no waste spirit with its compost cocktails, which gives the menu some personality without making the whole place feel worthy or self important. It is an easy bar to like because it understands that style works best when it still leaves room for fun.
